This dress is a statement of feminism with a touch of drama and crafty undertones. This is the story of a women who's been objectified by men her whole life and won't stand for it anymore. This is a fierce women making a statement with her heart still on her sleeve, never forgetting to be kind even in the darkest of worlds.
Creative process
Construction
For this project I made my own quilted fabric from scratch, using foam and threads of wool to bring it all together. I also first experimented with leather here for the straps of the dress.
